After the WHO declared a pandemic, demand for the EnozoPRO spray bottle surged in Canada and the first inventory sold out within days.
Winnipeg entrepreneur Kevin Shale, a North Forge Technology Exchange member, spent roughly four years obtaining Canadian distribution rights for the EnozoPRO activated-oxygen sanitizing spray bottle, a device that converts tap water into a sanitizing agent.
When the WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic, demand for the product, priced at around US $500, surged. “Literally the day after the World Health Organization called the coronavirus a pandemic my phone started ringing off the hook,” Shale said; his initial inventory sold out within days.
Rather than prioritizing profit, Shale wanted the product to go where the need was highest, not to whoever was screaming the loudest. He coordinated the distribution of an incoming shipment with federal officials to reach vulnerable populations.
