With only around 10% of plastic recycled, the cleaning sector can sharply cut the waste mountain using reusable ozone solutions such as EnozoPRO.
Only about 10% of plastic is actually recycled; the rest ends up in the environment. Between 1950 and 2015, 8.3 billion tons of plastic packaging were produced worldwide, generating 6.3 billion tons of waste, 79% of which ended up in landfills or nature. Researchers expect more plastic than fish in the oceans by 2050.
Rob Boele, director of Consensus Group, questions why the cleaning sector keeps using plastic bottles when alternatives exist. That such alternatives are not yet widely adopted, he finds remarkable.
The solution, he argues, lies with EnozoPRO and EnozoHOME: a reusable spray bottle that converts tap water into ozone water, making chemical cleaners unnecessary. One bottle can be refilled more than 5,000 times and replaces roughly 2,000 liters of packaged chemicals, benefiting the environment, costs and safety.
